6-12 months prior to event:

Get theme and decorating ideas from books, magazines,
internet, shops, and friends.

Select a date and time. Make sure that it doesn't conflict with
another major event or holiday that will prevent guests from
attending.

Prepare a guest list. Gather names (correct spelling, titles, and
addresses).

Set a budget.
-
Call Klackle Orchard and Pavilion to secure your date and time.

Call hotel and set aside a block of hotel rooms for your out of
town guests.
-
Choose theme and colors.
-
Select your attire and, if applicable, the attire of members of
the upcoming event.

Choose a caterer, photographer, videographer, florist, and
musicians.
-
Create a City or Area Guide for out of town guests.
-
Order invitations and other stationary (remember to request an
RSVP).
3 months prior to event:
-
Plan the event (or ceremony).
-
Finalize dinner (or luncheon) menu.
-
Select and purchase decorations.
-
Order the event cake.
-
If necessary, arrange time off from work or school to attend the
event.

Confirm dates and details with florists, caterer, photographer,
musician, etc.

Reserve transporation to and from the event.
-
If a reception is to follow the event, prepare a reception
agenda.

Send out invitations and directions.
-
Arrange parking attendants if necessary.

Talk to the photographer and set a date for a special portrait.

Create a gift registry at your favorite stores if gift giving will be
anticipated.
2 months prior to event:
-
Obtain host liquor liability license (if you plan to bring your own
alcohol).

Plan the event dinner menu and agenda

Purchase gifts for members of the event if applicable.

If you are planning a wedding, obtain a marriage license.

Have event programs printed.

Schedule beauty appointments.
-
Purchase a guest book and decide where it will be placed.

Provide DJ with playlist and event agenda.
-
Have florist visit event site for planning.

Give the photographer a list of desired photos.

Finalize the number of guests with the caterer and Klackle
Orchards and Pavilion.

Plan seating arrangements for guests and print place cards.
-
Prepare checklists for helpers.
-
Have your beautician practice hair and makeup for the big day.

Take photos.
